Craig Thompson Booking Escorts On Credit Card

Former MP, Craig Thompson, who was head of Health Services Union in Australia, has been in the news recently. widely report in the tabloids and online media websites, has been the scandal involving him and escort services. When he was heading the union it is reported that he used union issued credit cards to book escorts. There was big speculation to see if this amounted to fraud. His legal representative argued there is no case for fraud to answer for. It is reported that Craig Thompson is not denying that he used credit cards to book escorts, but his legal counsel stress that it does not constitute fraud, him doing so. He did not deceive anybody when the transactions where made and all payments were honoured. This episode has put his reputation under some strain.

It is reported that between 2003 and 2008, Mr Thompson is said to of misused around $28,000. He is facing a count of 145 charges for dishonesty. In a unique twist to the whole saga, an escort who was alleged to have spent a night with Craig Thompson has no recollection of meeting him. Handwriting experts have studied expense forms submitted to the Health Services Union. An escort agency name was written on one and they have concluded it was probably the former MP's handwriting on it.

The actual expense it has being reported in the media as being for a dinner function. The name on the expense form was a trading name of an escort agency. The agency in question is called Boardroom Escorts and their trading name is 'Internat Immobiliare'. It is reported that two Sydney base escort agencies have said that their names matches transactions found on credit card statements attributed to Mr Thompson. As the investigation and case continues, who knows what ever revelations are going to come to light?
