Penguin Real Time Google Update
Can you remember the good old days back in late 2015 and the majority of 2016? The specific time where everybody was wondering why there was still no Google penguin update? Those happened to be very dark days for those in the Escort SEO industry thought that the update was forgot ton about. Until one day there was an announcement and it felt like the good times had come back. Until webmasters started checking the Google 'serps' and found out that nothing really had changed. Then slowly but surely, things started to change and it wasn't for the better for websites that had high quality. In fact all the poor quality websites that had built so many low quality web links had gone up. Sites with little or no content leapfrogged websites that had so much quality written content. It felt like a kick in the teeth. Spam seemed to rule this major search engine once again. Or is this a trick.? Maybe this will all change and this is just the calm before the storm.
Here are some observations about the latest update:
- Culprits weren't demoted - The point of an update is to update something for the better. It actually did the opposite, it made things worse. The escort websites that had built all these bad links and had risen up Google based on that (as no other part of their site had any quality) had risen up even higher. Sites that had actually built links in a sensible fashion had been dropped.
- EMD's climbed higher - It was said that Google was on the hunt for EMD's. They need to look harder has more are ranging higher.
- Top pages aren't changing - If this is real time then you think you would see lots of constant changes. That does not seem to be happening at the moment.
So what is going to happen next. Can websites that do high quality SEO beat the ones that have very poor low quality content? Many were disappointed by the update and it does not see to be going too good.
Can things change for the better?
